.dxf— universal cutting format optimised for fiber laser, CO2 fiber laser, plasma and CNC routers (LightBurn, RDWorks, Fusion 360, Mach3, EZCAD).svg— vector format (Illustrator, Inkscape, Glowforge, xTool)
Fiber laser ready
This design is built around the kind of clean, continuous geometry a fiber laser loves: every line closes, every loop bridges, and the cut path is single-pass. Drop the .dxf straight into your fiber controller and run — no preprocessing, no manual cleanup.
Tested-clean on: stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium, brass, copper. Typical settings for 1.5 mm steel — 500 – 1000 W, ~60 mm/s feed, single pass, ~0.1 mm kerf. No scaling needed for most projects.
Cutting notes by machine
Fiber laser (recommended for metal) Set kerf to ~0.1 mm. Use O₂ for ≥ 3 mm mild steel, N₂ for stainless or premium finish. Lead-in/lead-out are baked in.
Plasma cutter Set kerf to ~1.0 – 1.5 mm. Works beautifully at 3 – 12 mm mild steel. Powder coat for outdoor use.
CNC router Use a ≤ 3 mm carbide bit for the finer features. Best on plywood, MDF, acrylic.
